What is permanent makeup?
Permanent makeup is a cosmetic technique which employs tattoos (permanent pigmentation of the dermis) as a means of producing designs that resemble makeup such as eyeliner and lip liner. Other uses include adding permanent color to enhance eyebrows and lips. It is also used to produce artificial eyebrows, particularly in people who have lost them as a consequence of over tweezing, old age, and/or disease. Permanent makeup can be used to disguise scars and/or restore or enhance the breast's areola, such as after breast surgery. Different names for permanent makeup include: permanent cosmetics, cosmetic tattooing, derma pigmentation, and micro pigmentation. Tattooing permanent makeup is not an easy task. Selecting a technician with the proper experience, education, knowledge, and equipment is key. There are many horror stories regarding permanent cosmetics. Most are due to the lack of the above from the technician. When shopping for permanent cosmetic makeup, shop for quality not for price. Unfortunately, you may get what you paid for.
Why Permanent Cosmetics Makeup?
Permanent Makeup benefits:
.Look great from morning to night
without touch-ups or fuss Equipment, Pigments, Anesthetics. I use a
digital permanent makeup machine which is very different than
rotary/tattoo guns. It is the difference between sewing by hand
and a sewing machine. Pigment implant is smooth and even every
time. In addition, there is zero chance of bacterial or viral
cross contamination. It is safe and effective. I use the
highest quality pigment available to guarantee consistent and
beautiful color. Additionally, I use a twenty minute numbing
method which ensures a comfortable experience. Most
clients report a slight stinging from the anesthetics but
relatively slight discomfort.

Permanent makeup healing instruction
will be given to you at the time of service as well as an
expected
healing schedule. Please note that healing varies from
person to person. Ice and Aquaphor may be used to aid in the healing process.
After receiving your permanent makeup, expect the area to be swollen and tender.
After a few days, the
treated area will go through an exfoliation process. Similar to the shedding
after a sunburn, this process must not be disturbed and the area must not be
allowed to scab. It is important apply Aquaphor in order to avoid scabbing.
Scabbing will pull all the pigment from the area. This is why prevention is so
important. Swelling and tenderness usually subsides after a couple of days.
After about a week, the pigment will merge with your own pigment and the color
starts to become more natural and fluent. At this point, you may be topically
healed but not quite in the interior skin of the area. As the pigment settles
into the skin, there may be slight variations in the intensity of the color.
This is part of the healing process and the pigment will settle after completion
of healing in about 4-6 weeks. Permanent make up procedures are affected by the
canvas (your skin) that they are performed on. If your skin is sun damaged,
thick and uneven in texture, or excessively dry or oily the result cannot be
expected to be perfect after the initial procedure. Lifestyle, medication,
smoking, metabolism, facial surgery, and age of skin all contribute to fading.
Therefore, a touch up is required anywhere from 4-6 weeks (this is the expected
time when you will be fully healed). The touch up is included in your initial
price and the appointment is set before you leave. Most clients are able to go
back to work the next day after the procedure and report back that they
experienced minimal discomfort.
